The Paris police headquarters authorized a rally on Sunday at 3:00 p.m. Place de la République in Paris to pay tribute to the decapitated professor of Conflans-Sainte-Honorine.

The call was initiated by SOS Racisme, FSU, Sgen-CFDT, Unsa-Education, SNALC, FCPE, FIDL (high school union) FAGE, UEJF and "Dessinez Create Liberty" after the assassination Friday of this professor who had shown caricatures of Muhammad to his students.

There will be no ban on this gathering, the police headquarters told AFP.

If it were to take place, I would obviously go to this event in accordance with the sanitary conditions that are ours today,

All the municipalities called for a tribute

The Association of Mayors of France called on all municipalities on Saturday to pay tribute to Samuel Paty.

The AMF " 

suggests that municipalities display the hashtag #jesuis teacher on their buildings, respect a minute's silence at the next municipal council meeting and choose a day for the town hall flag to be half-masted 

", according to a statement.

Several municipalities have already put their flags at half mast on Saturday.

Policies in rallies all over France

Politicians of all stripes have planned to participate in the rallies planned in several dozen cities in France on Sunday.

The boss of La République en Marche, Stanislas Guerini, said he would participate in the rally in the capital as well as several deputies of the majority.

The leader of La France insoumise, Jean-Luc Mélenchon, the boss of the PS, Olivier Faure, and that of Europe-Ecology-The Greens, Julien Bayou, will also be present.

The number one of the PCF, Fabien Roussel, indicated that he would be "

Place de la République, a traditional venue for demonstrations in Paris, was the epicenter of the rally on January 11, 2015 after the
