The Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated that both parties to the conflict have agreed to implement a humanitarian ceasefire in the conflict zone in Naqqa.

  Earlier in the day, Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov held a telephone talk with the foreign ministers of the two countries, urging the two sides to implement the ceasefire agreement as soon as possible.

According to information released by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the parties in the telephone conversation confirmed that they should strictly abide by the statement issued by the three foreign ministers in Moscow on October 10 to achieve a ceasefire for humanitarian purposes.

The talks reaffirmed the importance of starting substantive negotiations in Moscow under the mediation of the co-chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group, with a view to an early and peaceful settlement of the Naqqa issue within the framework of basic principles.
