The Bassins de Lumières offer screenings of works by artists, such as those of Klimt, in the enclosure of the submarine base in Bordeaux.

It is a symbolic bar.

But it does mean something to Culturespaces, the operator of the Bassins de Lumières exhibition.

More than 300,000 visitors have visited the Bordeaux submarine base since June to admire the works of Gustave Klimt or Paul Klee projected onto a surface of 12,000m².

The objective of 350 to 400,000 visitors has already almost been reached.

The postponement of its opening from April to last June therefore had almost no negative effects.

The public especially came in large numbers this summer.

Attendance has slowed down a bit since the start of the school year but remains high.

The gauge of 250 people at the same time on site instead of 850 in normal times does not seem to affect attendance too much.

The two major exhibitions

(Gustav Klimt, Gold and Colors, and Paul Klee, Painting Music)

are visible until January 3, 2021 at the submarine base.

Full price: € 13.50, reduced price: € 11, youth price: € 9.
