Seven homeless, aged 13 to 45, were arrested Monday at the exit of a supermarket in Grigny (Rhône).

They are suspected of having collectively stolen the wallet of an elderly person at the exit of the store, indicates the Lyon police on Friday.

Placed in custody, six of them denied the facts with which they were accused.

Only one recognized them.

A search of their vehicle was then carried out by the investigators.

What allowed to discover 2,000 euros.

The exploitation of one of their phones revealed numerous photos and videos showing one of the suspects with wads of cash.

Presented to the prosecution on Friday

A reconciliation during the investigation allowed them to attribute nine additional facts of theft and fraudulent use of a means of payment committed in the Givordine agglomeration in 2020. Four of the respondents refused to be reported.

Heard on all the facts, they asserted their right to silence.

Five of those arrested were to be presented to the Lyon prosecutor's office on Friday for an opening of information.
