In the courtroom in Ancona for the trial in the Court of Assizes of Appeal for the murder of 18-year-old Pamela Mastropietro, the accused Innocent Oseghale, a 32-year-old Nigerian pusher, made spontaneous statements to retrace the last moments spent at home in company of the 18-year-old, to reiterate that she did not kill the girl, on 30 January 2018 in Macerata.



Pamela, he reiterated, fell ill after taking heroin, fell from the bed where she had settled down to relax and then gradually lost consciousness and died.

"I was in shock, confused, I did a terrible thing - he said about the admitted dismemberment of the body then abandoned in two trolleys on the side of a road - but I want to pay for what I did, not for what I didn't do ".



Oseghale asked for a sentence "without prejudice": "do not judge me for the color of my skin ..."



In the first instance Innocent Oseghale was sentenced to life in prison for voluntary murder aggravated by sexual violence, insult and concealment of a corpse;

the attorney general asked for confirmation of the sentence.

The verdict could come in the afternoon.
