Paris SG temporarily seized first place in Ligue 1 after its great success (4-0) Friday in Nîmes during the 6th day, taking advantage of the draw of ex-leader Rennes in Dijon (1-1) earlier.

Saturday, Olympique de Marseille receives Bordeaux, and Reims welcomes Lorient.

Sunday, Lille receives Lens for a derby from the North between the 3rd and the 4th.

Mbappé puts Paris SG back on the throne

Forty-eight hours after playing the entire match of the France team in Croatia, Kylian Mbappé was not satisfied: he scored a double during the success of Paris SG in Nîmes (4-0) and allows the club of the capital to seize temporarily, for the first time this season, the chair of leader.

The Parisians, in numerical superiority from the 12th minute and the expulsion of Loïck Landré, largely dominated the match, Alessandro Florenzi (77th) and Pablo Sarabia (88th) also going there from their goal.

With 15 points, Paris comes back to Rennes, and seizes the leadership thanks to a better goal difference (+13 for the Parisians, +7 for the Bretons).

Rennes stopped dead in Dijon

The return to competition was more difficult for Rennes, hung 1-1 by Dijon.

The former Lyonnais Martin Terrier had yet opened the scoring for the Bretons (24th), but the Dijonais returned on a goal from Mama Baldé in the second period (53rd).

The Rennais were certainly, at the kickoff, without their two international midfielders, Steven Nzonzi and Eduardo Camavinga.

But the entry into play of the 17-year-old prodigy at the hour mark did not resolve the situation.

Rennes thus leaves its place of leader to the Parisians and could be overtaken Sunday by Lille (3rd, 13 pts) or by Lens (4th, 12 pts), who have an appointment for a northern derby, the first between the two clubs since the return of the Lens Racing club to the elite.

The Rennais will have to quickly recover from this lackluster performance, they who will discover the Champions League in a few days with the reception on Tuesday from Krasnodar.
