Coronavirus: Jean Castex appears alongside caregivers before curfew

A few hours before the start of the curfew in nine French metropolises, Jean Castex went to the Lille hospital center this Friday.

The Prime Minister went to meet caregivers worried about the "second wave" of coronavirus to listen to them.

 What is happening today is totally different from what happened the last time 

", explains Doctor Goldstein, head of emergencies at Lille University Hospital.

After the tsunami of the first wave, it now faces a tide of Covid.

 It's the water that rises.

Last week, we were at our ankles.

There sincerely yesterday, we were on our knees anyway,

explains the doctor.

And we know that it will continue to rise.

What is needed is that we are not overwhelmed and that we can swim.

 "

In front of him, at the entrance to the emergency department, Jean Castex promises that the State will support him.

"

 What can I do for you, so that this rising water can cope with it as well as possible?"

The number one problem is the lack of human resources 

”, underlines the French Prime Minister.

It is precisely against the lack of human resources in hospitals that a dozen CGT activists make themselves heard when the convoy of the head of government passes.

Jean Castex initiates a discussion with Matthieu Collart, nurse: "

 My colleagues are afraid of being exhausted ... They can no longer take it

 ", he explains annoyed, before continuing: "We

 will have to learn the lessons and act accordingly

 " .

The Prime Minister appears alongside caregivers, on the front line facing the Covid-19.

Jean Castex wanted to give a new reminder to the French, calling them once again to be careful, just before the implementation of the curfew.
