on Joe Biden with zero context explaining why is "unacceptable".

"Our communication was not great" he even went so far as to acknowledge Wednesday, at the end of a day of controversy around this controversial article, which Facebook and Twitter have limited online sharing.

Our communication around our actions on the @nypost article was not great.

And blocking URL sharing via tweet or DM with zero context as to why we're blocking: unacceptable.

Just three weeks away from the presidential election, the Tory newspaper published emails that were allegedly illegally retrieved from a computer containing messages, photos and personal videos of Joe Biden's son, Hunter Biden.

These messages revive accusations launched against the Democratic candidate for the White House by the camp of Donald Trump, according to whom he would have helped the Ukrainian gas group Burisma to escape investigations for corruption.

Pirated elements in the article

To make up for it, Wednesday evening, the Twitter account dedicated to the security of the platform detailed its decision to block the sharing of the article, in public or in private: “The article contains images with private information, like email addresses and phone numbers, which break our rules ”.

The article also contains pirated elements, however, since 2018, the Twitter regulation "prohibits the use of our services to distribute content obtained without authorization"

"We do not want to encourage piracy by authorizing the dissemination of documents obtained illegally," continues the San Francisco-based company, which admits, however, "still have work" to clarify the application of its own rules.

Twitter recalled that discussing the article is not prohibited, only document sharing.

So terrible that Facebook and Twitter took down the story of “Smoking Gun” emails related to Sleepy Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, in the @NYPost.

It is only the beginning for them.

There is nothing worse than a corrupt politician.

These explanations should not calm opponents of Joe Biden.

Many Republicans accused Twitter and Facebook of censorship during the day Wednesday.

"(It's) so awful that Twitter and Facebook removed the article on 'murder gun' emails linked to the sleeping Joe Biden and his son, Hunter, from the New York Post," said indignant side Donald Trump on his favorite network.
