15 October 2020This morning at 10 the Juventus Shareholders' Meeting which this year, due to the safety problems related to the coronavirus, did not take place as usual at the Allianz Stadium but in the nearby club headquarters at Continassa.

The members will be represented this year by a delegate.

Some of them, however, in recent days have sent Juventus a series of questions that the club wanted to answer.

Juventus president Andrea Agnelli also addresses the Suarez issue in his written responses to shareholders.

Pungent as usual at every meeting, the shareholder Marco Bava asked for clarification on the Suarez case.

"The sentences reported do not correspond to the phone calls, they are the result of a distorted story carried out improvisedly by characters required to observe the secret of the investigation. The investigation is ongoing and is covered by secrecy as repeatedly reiterated by the Cantone prosecutor. Juve is a stranger to the story of Suarez's exam, which the player decided to face despite Juve having already communicated their desire not to sign him ".

Agnelli again replied to that of the shareholder Andrea Danubi on the "unhealed wound" of Calciopoli: "Over the years we have sent all the actions to protect the company to obtain the amount due. We are awaiting the fixing of the appeals to the TAR. lastly we proposed, against the decision of the Coni Sports Justice bodies. Any attempt to obtain the reassignment of the league titles will be made by the club ".

And on the Suarez case, on the sidelines of the inauguration of the Academic Year of the University of Macerata, the minister of the University, Gaetano Manfredi, also intervened, saying that cases similar to those involving the footballer Luis Suarez "we don't want to see them again. We want a more transparent and fairer system than those who have to undergo these tests. "

The minister recalled, in relation to the case involving the University for Foreigners of Perugia, that "the criminal investigation is the responsibility of the judiciary, while the Commission we wanted will start all the procedures related to the Italian exams to obtain citizenship ".
