- It is clear that it is serious.

It is a municipality a bit in free fall, says Björn Gillberg who sits on the municipal board for the party Hela Sunne.

Newly appointed municipal councilor Kristina Lundberg (C) makes a completely different assessment of the situation.

- We have good control despite everything that has happened in recent months and I think we will get a very good solution in the future, she says.

It has been a few shaky months in Sunne municipality.

The mayor was fired.

Former municipal councilor Gunilla Ingemyr (C) resigned.

The other municipal councilor, Tobias Eriksson (S), who is also chairman of the municipal real estate company, is on sick leave.

Tough savings requirement

The real estate company's CEO Anders Svensson has resigned after a conflict with the new municipal council.

- It is lousy leadership, nothing else, says Björn Gillberg (HS) and describes the municipal organization as a football team with a number of skilled players but without both game system and team management.

At the same time, the municipality has a tough financial situation.

The savings requirement for 2021 is 10.8 million and a white-collar proposal is for 35 jobs to be lost in the municipality.

Right now, the municipality is negotiating with the unions about cuts.

Points to tax increase

The Hela Sunne party believes that there is no room for savings in health care, school or care.

If we are to live up to what the legislation requires, it may be relevant to raise the municipal tax, says Björn Gillberg (HS).

- It is not something we have discussed so I have nothing to say about it, says Kristina Lundberg (C).

Part of the problem in the municipality is about the municipal real estate company, Sunne Fastighets AB.

On Thursday, SVT Nyheter Värmland reports on the housing company that lost hundreds of thousands of kronor when tenants ignored paying the rent.

In the clip, you can hear how some Sunne residents view the fighting in the municipality.
