October 15, 2020Valentino Rossi tested positive for coronavirus.

This was announced by the rider himself in a post on his Instagram account.

"Unfortunately this morning I woke up and was not feeling well. I was feeling particularly weak and had a slight fever, so I immediately called the doctor who gave me two tests. The result of the rapid PCR test was negative, just like the test which I had already done on Tuesday. But the second one, the result of which was sent to me at 4 pm this afternoon, was unfortunately positive ".

Valentino Rossi writes it on his account.

"I am clearly very disappointed that I will have to miss the Aragon race. I would like to be optimistic and confident, but I expect the second round at Aragon to be a 'no go' for me too. I am sad and angry because I did some my best to respect the protocol and even if the test I did on Tuesday was negative, I have already isolated myself since my arrival from Le Mans ", added the Yamaha rider, on Instagram, on the eve of free practice at the Aragon GP.

"Anyway it is so, and I can not do anything to change the situation. Now I will follow the medical advice, and I just hope to get well soon", concludes Rossi in his post.
