Uppsala is one of four cities in Sweden that has the largest installed power from photovoltaic systems.

But solar cells also create new problems for the rescue service.

Extinguishing work in larger buildings with fire cells can be more difficult if there are no fire lanes between the solar panels above the fire cell walls.

In addition, the power supply can pose a risk.

- In part, it is a work environment issue.

But also that we can not work in the same way as before - we can not be as offensive and may not be able to prevent the fire from going past the fire cell boundary, says Peter Svensson who is a fire engineer at Uppsala Fire Brigade.
