October 15, 2020In 22 judicial proceedings - 18 individuals and four companies - for the collapse of the bridge on the A14, between the Ancona Sud and Loreto toll booths: on March 9, 2017, two spouses from Spinetoli (Ascoli Piceno), Emidio Diomede and Antonella Viviani, aged 60 and 54, who were traveling by car and three workers were injured.
It was decided by the gup of Ancona Francesca De Palma.
The charges disputed, for various reasons, are manslaughter, road homicide, culpable collapse, violation of workplace safety regulations.
The defendants reject the charges.
Trial starts on 21 September 2021 in front of judge Carlo Masini.
The accident, shortly after 1.30 pm, during the elevation works of the overpass 167. Among the contributing causes, for the accusation, the underestimation of the risk that during the maneuver, the bridge could rotate.
The prosecutor Irene Bilotta called into question the managers and technicians of the companies involved for administrative violations: Autostrade per l'Italia and Spea Engineering, (clients), Pavimental (contractor) and Delabech (subcontractor).
