Video: A Russian pilot leads a fighter jet without a roof

The Russian Defense Ministry released a video of a pilot flying the new Russian "Su-57" plane without a glass cockpit cover.

It is known that the glass roof protects the pilot from noise and wind when the plane reaches very high speeds, according to the Russian "Sputnik" agency.

And the American magazine "Popular Mechanics" said that the plane (Su-57), according to the classification of NATO (Outlaw), can reach a speed of 2440 kilometers per hour, and it is difficult to imagine yourself in the pilot's seat without a protective dome in such circumstances.

And the magazine considered that most likely, the risky flight is an emergency training case, and in the event that the cap of the leadership comes out, the Russian pilots will still be able to control the situation and continue the flight, despite the wind, rain and frost of high speed and altitude, because his special suit will protect him.

The Russian newspaper "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" reported that the Su-57 test program includes flying the plane without the pilot's cabin cover to check the pilot's health condition inside the open cabin, noting that the plane and the pilot successfully passed the test.

The cab cover has been removed from the ground.

The pilot's cabin cover removal experiment aims to test the rescue seat and its mechanism. Before the pilot’s seat ejects, the cabin remains free of cover for a few seconds, according to "The Drive", which attributed the incident to being linked to emergency escape procedures.

The site uses the word "cabriolet" in reference to the non-existent roof position.
