Expanded camera surveillance in noisy areas would increase security and prevent new crimes.

The proposal comes from Member of Parliament Hanif Bali (M) and Norrtälje resident and also the Social Democratic politician Jan Emanuel Johansson (S).

But the proposal was met with backlash from several politicians who believe that it is better to invest in school and prevention instead of cameras.

Fewer social initiatives and increased demands on HVB homes

The proposal is also about reducing social efforts to instead invest in municipal guards dressed in body-cams.

Camcorders will also be mounted on security cars, bicycles and drones.

"This makes it possible to identify young people, show their behavior to their parents and allow the social services to follow up measures," the

proposal states.

A final step in Johansson's and Bali's proposal is that HVB homes that do not get criminal or addicted young people in order should be able to lose the entire operation.
