In detail, the Director General of the Sharjah City Municipality, Thabet Al-Tarifi, affirmed that the municipality is keen to implement the visions and directives of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, as it continues its campaign in cooperation with the Sharjah Police General Command and the Sharjah Electricity, Water and Gas Authority to notify violators of the eviction and cut off services for residences where there are violations. He pointed out that more than 1514 inspection campaigns were organized since the beginning of the campaign during which more than 3,936 workers, singles and violators were evacuated from 185 houses that were completely evacuated, and 161 violating residential units were closed, and owners and direct tenants violated after they received notices of reviewing the municipality, due to their violation of the terms of the housing system, and their residency. By subletting housing in violation of laws and regulations.

Al-Tarifi clarified that housing singles and workers in areas not designated for them poses a direct threat to the families that reside in that area, as they are in violation of the emirate’s housing system, in addition to the fact that these groups reside in a way that violates the requirements, preventive measures and health controls, as there are more than one room within one room. Its absorptive capacity is not achieved by the principle of social distancing, pointing out that the municipality immediately cut off services to 79 homes after detecting many violations by its residents, which include irregular engineering divisions and random electrical connections, and it also delivered 169 notices to cut off services to other homes.

He stressed that the municipality, through the Building Inspection Department, counted the building violations, inspected the construction status of those housing and made the engineering drawings that correspond to reality and compared them to what is approved, indicating that the work was carried out in 3 stages that included inspection visits and monitoring housing cases, then sent notices of review to determine the status The owner’s construction, then receiving the owners ’auditors for inspection with the aim of modifying their status.

He noted that the municipality is keen to regulate the relationship between the owner and the tenant through lease contracts in accordance with conditions that the owner and the tenant are obligated to do, including the prohibition of subletting, violating the housing system in the Basma emirate, preserving the aesthetic appearance and the privacy, security and safety of families and families.

For his part, Sharjah Police Commander-in-Chief, Major General Saif Al-Zari Al Shamsi, affirmed that the leadership began its tasks entrusted to it in that region from the first moments of its receipt of the directives issued by His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah in this regard, which comes from His Highness’s keenness to provide a safe environment for families and families.
