14 October 2020In Bergamo it ends 1-1 between Italy and the Netherlands in the fourth match of group 1 of League A of the Nations League.

The Azzurri lose the primacy to the advantage of Holland, who won 3-0 over Bosnia.

The Poles will be guests of Italy in November in Reggio Emilia in what becomes the key race for access to the semifinals.

Center forward building, Chiesa and Pellegrini on his sides: this is Mancini's trident who chooses D'Ambrosio and Spinazzola as full-backs, while Chiellini returns to Bonucci's side.

Midfield as expected: Barella, Jorginho and Verratti.

Even De Boer with the back four and the offensive trident: Wijnaldum, Luuk de Jong and Depay.

Alternating current blues, discreet start followed by a few minutes of 'break'.

Pellegrini's goal (16 ') is the lightning that rekindles the fuse: Church free Barella on the trocar, change in front of the Roma player who comes out behind two defenders and comfortably beats Cillesen.

A beautiful combination that charges Italy.

Pellegrini tries to hit again using the long balls, Immobile gets free in a tight angle and calls Cillesen to be rejected in trouble.

An excellent moment interrupted by the equal oranje in the 26th minute: Blind arrives on the bottom right and hits low for Depay, shot rebound, but the ball reaches Van de Beek only in front of Donnarumma.

Another moment of fogging for Mancini's team, which struggles until almost the end of the fraction, when the midfield regains control of the game.

Decisive, however, the interventions of Bonucci (who interrupts a counterattack) and Chiellini (who remedies Pellegrini's lightness at 16 meters) to save the result.

Blue undertone at the beginning of the second half, Donnarumma works overtime on a diagonal from Depay.

Inside Kean and Locatelli (Chiesa and Verratti leave) and a moment later, on a corner counterattack, Immobile has a sensational opportunity (offered by a mistake by Hateboer) and spoils it face to face with Cillesen.

Overall the blues suffer the orange and are appreciated only on a few restarts.

Florenzi enters for Pellegrini (Mancini passes to the four midfielders) and immediately becomes the protagonist of one of these accelerations which, however, does not find luck in the heart of the area.

The exterior gives important oxygen to the maneuver, in a finish that experiences gusts on both fronts.

But the tie remains.
