Yesterday, the Iranian Ministry of Health announced that 297 deaths and 4,830 new cases of the new Corona virus were recorded, during the past 24 hours.

According to the Bloomberg News Agency, the two figures are the two highest daily death tolls and injuries recorded by Iran since the virus spread.

The ministry announced that the total number of Corona injuries in the country had risen to more than 513,000.

The spokeswoman for the Iranian Ministry of Health, Treatment and Medical Education, Sima Sadat Lari, stated that the total deaths from Corona virus infection in the country rose to 29,349 cases.

She added that 30 Iranian provinces, out of a total of 31, are classified within the red regions, which means severe warning.

She pointed out that 4,609 of those infected with "Corona" are in critical condition and are subject to intensive care, while the number of people recovering exceeded 414 thousand.

According to data collected by Johns Hopkins University, Iran ranks 13th in the world in terms of the total number of cases recorded with "Corona".

Yesterday, the authorities announced the imposition of temporary restrictions on movement to and from five cities, most notably Tehran, and the Iranian Ministry of Health stated that the authorities decided to prevent entry and exit from the capital, and cities: Karaj, Mashhad, Isfahan and Urmia for a period of three days, and indicated that this restriction will affect private transportation. Only public transport, such as buses and airplanes, is excluded from it, and it will be renewable or expanded to include other cities.
