In 1983, big scoop!

STERN, a major German newspaper, publishes excerpts from Hitler's diary.

These are 60 black notebooks, which would have been drawn up between 1932 and 1945. They were found by one of their reporters, a certain Gerd Heidemann.

At the time, its editor-in-chief explained that the diary had been submitted to the best experts of the period who had all been admitted that it was an authentic and precious testimony!

The Stern who published the extracts expected a staggering circulation of at least a million and a half copies.

But 2 months later ... patatras!

We learn that the diary is in fact a hoax ...
