The Nantes handball players were outclassed in Aalborg (Denmark) 32 to 24 on Wednesday evening on behalf of the 4th day of the Champions League, their third defeat in the flagship competition of European handball.

Weakened by numerous absences from injuries, Nantes hung their opponents for a little over 20 minutes, but then clashed with Swedish goalkeeper Aalborg, Mikael Aggerfors.

Nantes started the Champions League with the three most formidable teams in its group: the Hungarians from Veszprem, the Spaniards from Barcelona and the Germans from Kiel.

They will move to Ukraine next week in Zaporozhe and will have to win to relaunch in this competition.

To compete in the rest of the competition, the "H" must take one of the first six places in its group after the 14 matches in the group stage.

The first two teams qualify for the quarterfinals, the other four must go through a barrage of access to the quarterfinals.
