The Dubai Health Authority has strengthened the capabilities of the unified electronic medical file "Salama", by including the "Up to Date" icon as part of the integration process, which actively contributes to supporting the medical decision, and enabling doctors to quickly access answers to clinical questions with one click of the patient's record.

The electronic connection enables medical personnel to search the content of "Up to Date", to obtain information related to the patient concerned based on the results of the diagnosis and the laboratory, and to access the content from the interface of the "Salama" system without switching to other programs, which provides a technical service that allows For health personnel using the system to obtain renewed clinical information from the health care facility easily, from all hospitals and health care centers affiliated with the authority.

The Executive Director of the Dubai Health Care Corporation at the authority, Dr. Yunus Kazem, affirmed the authority's interest in improving the patient experience, and enabling medical personnel to access accurate information, to improve treatment programs, and raise the level and standards of services provided.

Kazem said that providing access to "Up to Date", through the "Salama" system, will contribute to reducing errors and achieving maximum benefit from the competence of doctors.

He added that more than 1.9 million physicians, all over the world, use the Up to Date website, currently, which is the only source of clinical decision support related to improving patient outcomes and hospital performance.
