The men, 23 and 31 years old respectively, were first acquitted in the district court of involvement in the murder of 18-year-old Ndella Jack in Råcksta in western Stockholm.

But the Court of Appeal changed the sentence and the men were sentenced to longer prison terms for aiding and abetting murder.

The men's lawyers are now announcing that they are both appealing the Court of Appeal's ruling to the Supreme Court.

Believes that there are shortcomings

There are several shortcomings in the prosecutor's investigation of the murder, the lawyers believe.

Among other things, it is referred to that the possibility that other people may have committed the murder has not been reported to a sufficient extent.

The convicted men should therefore be acquitted on all counts, it is believed.

In order for the Supreme Court to take up the case, a leave to appeal is required.
