On Tuesday morning, prosecutor Gunilla Öhlin presented her closing argument.

Much came to be about whether it had been possible for any of the perpetrators convicted by the district court to commit the murder on their own.

Requested that the client be acquitted

In the afternoon, one of the two defense lawyers held his closing argument.

Defense attorney Tommy Nilsson, who represents one of the men, requested that his client be acquitted of murder.

His client insists he has nothing to do with the car theft and the assault of the 70-year-old.

Tommy Nilsson also points to the lack of technical evidence in the investigation, and believes that it would have been possible for the other accused perpetrator to commit the crimes on his own.

- It is pure speculation that two people are needed, said Tommy Nilsson during today's hearings in the Court of Appeal.

Negotiations continue on Wednesday

On Wednesday, the trial continues in the Göta Court of Appeal.

Then Tommy Nilsson's client will speak and Torgny Dahlberg, who represents the other perpetrator, will make his final plea.

An additional interrogation has also been requested, which will be about whether it really takes two people to drive through the barrier that the perpetrators must have passed when they leave the 70-year-old in the woods.
