Dubai Health Authority introduces a smart system for remote diabetes care
The Dubai Health Authority has developed an integrated health system for remote diabetes care, which is based on the latest equipment and smart technologies, which enable the authority, through the Dubai Diabetes Center, to follow up patients around the clock and provide all possible medical services, in addition to monitoring the health status of each patient, and organizing Appointments for medication, and other educational, counseling and educational services.
According to the system, which is one of the important initiatives of the Dubai Diabetes Center, any patient affiliated with the center can communicate directly with the center’s consultant and specialists to obtain medical services, at the same time the center’s doctors are able to follow the patient’s condition very accurately, monitor his diabetes levels and provide various forms of assistance. Medical care, via a smartphone, and through follow-up screens inside the center that meet the highest levels and standards of privacy.
With the availability of this smart system, the diabetic patient no longer needs to visit the center for treatment, advice, or any other services, except in specific medical cases that the doctor assesses with the patient.

During his inspection of the center and his review of its new medical services, today, the Director General of the Dubai Health Authority, Humaid Muhammad Al Qatami, said that the global position that the Dubai Diabetes Center has reached has made it a model for specialized health centers, and a unique model in this vital medical specialty, which is related to a health problem It disturbs all societies, and negatively affects their productive power.
He emphasized that the Dubai Health Authority pays great attention to combating, treating and reducing chronic diseases, especially diabetes, which specializes in a set of advanced initiatives and programs to prevent it, limit its spread and face any complications resulting from it.
He explained that the Authority is sparing no effort in providing the Dubai Diabetes Center and all its clinics specialized in this disease with the best expertise and competencies, in addition to the latest equipment and technologies, and it is also working continuously to motivate its medical staff to devise new prevention and treatment methods, and to extract more scientific research and studies, from Will reduce the prevalence of diabetes.
