At around 6 pm, the police became aware that an injured man had been found in central Enköping.
- He must have entered a store, and from there they sounded the alarm, says Tobias Ahlén, press spokesperson for the police.
The man was taken to hospital with stab wounds.
- These are injuries that have been caused by some form of sharp object - I can not say more than that right now, says Tobias Ahlén.
Later in the evening, the police conducted a house search in an apartment in Enköping.
A man suspected of murder was arrested there.
- Different information we receive leads to the address where the suspect is found, says Tobias Ahlén.
The detainee will be questioned and then the prosecutor will decide whether or not to arrest him.
