Apple Introduces iPhone 12, Its First 5G Compatible Phone

"This is the start of a new era," announced Tim Cook, the boss of Apple, to mark the highly anticipated entry of the iPhone into 5G, the new generation of ultra-fast mobile telephony, which is taking its flight in Asia and around the world.

The American electronics and technology giant launched the iPhone 12 on Tuesday during a presentation with a lot of dramatic staging and music, online and without an audience, the Covid-19 pandemic requires.
More than a year after its two rivals Samsung and Huawei, Apple will market its first line of smartphones with 5G, at base prices ranging from $ 699 to $ 1,099.
It comes with the iPhone 12 and 12 mini, which can be ordered from Friday, and the iPhone 12 Pro and 12 Pro Max, scheduled for November.
The iPhone 12 has "
more 5G bandwidths than any other smartphone,
" said Arun Mathias, vice president of the Californian group.

We have performed 5G tests with more than 100 operators in 30 regions and the observed speeds are impressive,

5G,
far from disrupting everyday life for the moment, is not yet a selling point in the United States
or in Europe

But the apple brand was expected as the Messiah by the industry.
Its entry on the scene signals that technology can no longer be satisfied with disjointed deployments: now is the time for operators to work extra hard.
