It is expected that a joint Israeli-American delegation will head to Manama, next Sunday, to start drafting the terms of the normalization agreement between Bahrain and Israel, while the American delegations will return later to Tel Aviv, along with an Emirati delegation.

The Israeli "Walla" website reported that the visit comes at a request from Manama, which wants its relations with Israel to be subject to conditions similar to those included in the normalization agreement between Israel and the UAE.

The Israeli delegation is headed by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Acting Prime Minister’s Office.

As for the US delegation, it will be headed by Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin, and White House envoy to the Middle East Avi Berkovitch.

The joint delegation will depart on a direct flight from Tel Aviv to Bahrain via Saudi airspace, and the visit is supposed to last 24 hours.

After the visit, the Israeli delegation will return to Tel Aviv, and the American delegation will head to Abu Dhabi to accompany an Emirati delegation to Israel, headed by the UAE ministers of economy and finance, to hold meetings with the Prime Minister and Israeli officials, and to sign 18 cooperation agreements.

On the 15th of last month, the UAE and Bahrain signed a normalization agreement with Israel at the White House under the auspices of US President Donald Trump.
