The Sharjah Private Education Authority has started implementing monitoring visits to government and private nurseries in the emirate, after the authority and the emergency, crisis and disaster management team in the emirate issued their decision to allow the reopening of government nurseries of the Sharjah Education Council and private nurseries, starting from the fourth of October.

The inspection teams aim to ensure the extent of the nurseries ’compliance with the application of precautionary measures and measures, and to ensure the provision of a safe and healthy environment for children and all the functional staff working in them.

The first phase of the visits carried out by specialized teams is aimed at the 27 governmental nurseries, while the second phase targets the private nurseries, which number 39, which have submitted a request to reopen them, in preparation for the reopening of the nurseries and the reception of children that have met all the requirements and obtained the approval of the authority Re-open.

The authority’s president, Dr. Muhatthah Al-Hashemi, confirmed that the authority, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and Community Protection, the Sharjah Education Council, the Prevention and Safety Authority, the Sharjah Municipality, the Department of Municipalities, Agriculture and Livestock Affairs, the Health Control Department, the Nutrition Control Department, and the Public Health Department were keen to ensure an environment Educational and healthy education, through the issuance of the guideline for reopening nurseries and childcare centers, with the aim of continuing the school life in its natural surroundings and environment, within measures that secure protection and preserve the safety of all, and transform with practice into a culture of life based on a conscious principle of prevention and precaution.

She added that the implementation of monitoring visits is carried out by teams that include a group of specialists in the field of early childhood, who are familiar with all the requirements mentioned in the precautionary guidelines that have been circulated to all nurseries, which contributes to the speed and quality of work, explaining that the visits that reveal laxity or Non-compliance, which will lead to the imposition of penalties against the concerned custody, calling at the same time for everyone to commit and cooperate for the success of the academic and educational year, and its safe passage.

The supervision teams base their field visits on the guidelines for the precautionary measures issued by the authority, which has been circulated to all nurseries, and includes a set of procedures and requirements that must be met in order to issue a "no objection certificate" to reopening the nursery and receiving children there.

The guideline for re-opening specifies a package of procedures related to the readiness of nurseries, including sterilization of all facilities attached to them, taking into account the allocation of entry and exit points for children and their parents, taking care to implement a policy of spacing of no less than 1.5 meters, and separating groups from each other according to category Age group, in addition to measuring the temperature of children and recording them on a daily basis when receiving children and before entering the nursery.

The guideline also obliges all functional cadres and workers in nurseries to conduct laboratory examination periodically every two weeks, in addition to making sure to sterilize the tools used in nurseries, sterilizing all games, and not providing meals through the nursery, as parents are responsible for providing food for their children.

The guidelines for nurseries also stipulate the necessity of identifying a health and safety official who is trained to implement the instructions, controls and precautionary requirements, in addition to the presence of the nursing staff in the nurseries, and preventing the entry of workers in support and maintenance services while children and administrative and educational personnel are present.

The Sharjah Special Education Authority had carried out a number of field visits to all private schools that fall under its umbrella in the Emirate of Sharjah, before the gradual return to school seats, to ensure their commitment and implementation of all measures and procedures mentioned in the authority’s guide.
