  Wau, South Sudan, October 11, Zhang Chi and Ye Jiuxin reported: Recently, the commander-in-chief of the UN South Sudan Army, Shailesh Tinekal, awarded me the highest collective award for the 10th batch of peacekeeping engineering units to South Sudan "Commander-in-Chief Commendation", and another 12 officers and soldiers won the commander-in-chief's personal commendation.

  Since its deployment to the mission area in September last year, the unit has repaired the main supply line with a total length of 486 kilometers, built 2 bridges, maintained and upgraded 2 important airports, and completed more than 100 small-scale engineering assistance tasks.

In addition, the officers and soldiers of the detachment also actively helped the local people to solve their difficulties in life, donating cultural and sports supplies to the Thorpe Village Primary School, solving the problems of local villagers' draft water and water, and assisting North Ghazal State University to repair the campus.
