Montpellier and Nantes separated on a score of 27 to 27 parity, for the first big poster of the French Handball Championship which kept all its promises, late Sunday afternoon, in the Hérault room of Bougnol.

The MHB and the H remain undefeated in Starligue, two wins and a draw on the Montpellier side (5 pts), three wins and a draw for the Nantes (7 pts).

But they leave Paris SG alone at the top of the championship with four successes (8 pts) in as many meetings.

At home, Montpellier dominated a large part of the meeting, without succeeding in definitively distancing Nantes, which clung to its opponent at the end of the first period.

"What is a little sad is that we dominated almost the whole match, but we did not know how to kill the meeting or to break them down. And behind, it pays cash", regretted the Montpellier Hugo Descat (28 years old).

Whether on his left wing or on the jets line at 7 meters, Descat was breathtaking, scoring nearly half of Hérault's goals: 8 of 9 in the game, 5 of 5 at 7 meters and a dizzying total of 13 goals.

"Compared to the end of the match, we are doing well, because we are -3 to seven minutes from the end. In the end, we are doing well, because in the + money time +, this 'is -1, equality, -1, equality ", underlines the native of Paris, arrived in the Hérault in 2019.

Nantes, with six goals from Thibaud Briet and four goals from Adrien Figuerras, can also have some regrets at the end of the match.

"We had the possibility of winning, it doesn't play out much at the end, a blocked shot that comes in. It's a shame that we couldn't at least have shot on the last" possession of ball, said captain of the "H", Rock Feliho.

Nantes, lessened by the absence of several injuries and in particular the two center-half Rok Ovnicek and Aymeric Minne, will now be able to look to the Champions League and a trip to the Danes of Aalborg on Wednesday (6:45 p.m.) for the 4th day .
