At a time when Al-Azhar criticized the statements of French President Emmanuel Macron insulting to Islam;

The statements of the Mufti of Egypt, Shawki Allam, sparked controversy on the communication sites, after he claimed that many European Muslims had joined ISIS and attacked Islamic centers in Europe.

Allam's statements recalled previous statements by Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and Emirati officials, which some considered incitement against Europe's Muslims, and media reports said that they fueled Islamophobia and gave it a legitimate justification.

In televised statements last Friday, Allam said that nearly 50% of the second and third generation of Muslims in Europe belong to ISIS, claiming that this percentage was found by a study conducted in 2016.

But some stopped by the context of the mufti’s speech, noting that he meant that half of the Islamic State belonged to the second and third generations of European Muslims.

The Mufti of Egypt rejected the statements of the French President about Islam currently in crisis, saying, "We were greatly saddened by Macron's statements, and I call for a better understanding of Islam from its considered and approved sources. Islam does not live in a crisis because it came as a mercy for both worlds, but our understanding of Islam may be what leads to the aggravation of the situation." Because it is far from true, disciplined Islam. "

Although Allam rejected Macron's statements, activists considered the talk of the Mufti of Egypt as a kind of justification and cover for the French president, as Allam attacked Islamic centers abroad, saying that they need a review of training, qualification and scientific training.

He added - during the same meeting - that "the system of Islamic centers around the world is often disputed by different Brotherhood and non-Brotherhood agendas, and they are funded generously and in various forms, because they carry a specific discourse that has already aggravated and dwarfed the situation."

Since the coup led by the current President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi in the summer of 2013 when he was Minister of Defense, during which he overthrew the elected President Mohamed Morsi, who was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood;

And the Egyptian authority always puts the Muslim Brotherhood in the crosshairs of its accusations, whether in relation to events inside Egypt or even outside it.

Anger and criticism

For his part, the Secretary-General of the International Union of Muslim Scholars, Ali Al-Qarah Daghi, said that the statements of the Mufti of Egypt have a great negative impact, and sad impressions on the hearts of Muslims in the West, and indeed in the whole world, and that religious institutions in Egypt have turned into a functional apparatus that serves the police state .

In his tweets, Al-Qara Daghi described what Allam said in the authoritative speech issued on the issue of fatwas, the scientific and moral decline, and that it lacked accuracy and objectivity, and above all, the oversight of God Almighty.

Many social media users also expressed their anger at the statements of the Mufti of Egypt, and considered that it provided an intellectual justification for targeting Muslims in the West.

The statements of the Egyptian Mufti, Shawki Allam, had a great negative impact and sad impressions on the hearts of Muslims in the West, but in the whole world.

These unreasonable and unacceptable statements show and reflect the status of religious institutions in Egypt in the era of the absence of law and the rule of the military

and that they have turned into a functional apparatus that serves the police state!

Tweeters said that Allam’s statements are a natural result of the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta’s identification with the internal and external policy of the regime of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi, which is one of the most prominent characteristics of attacking the Islamic trend, which over time has turned into attacking the Islamic heritage itself, which has repeatedly aroused Al-Azhar's criticism, and also sparked controversies. Between Al-Sisi and the Sheikh of Al-Azhar, Ahmed Al-Tayeb, live.

The Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa received a strong shock through the communication sites, when it was revealed that the Egyptians had lost their confidence in the official religious establishment.

Last August, on its official Facebook page;

The Dar Al Iftaa surveyed the opinion of Egyptians on the place to which they would go in search of a fatwa, and it gave them the choice between the Google search engine and the Dar Al Ifta website.

The answer was shocking.

The survey revealed that about 70% of respondents go to Google to answer their religious questions and request a fatwa.

The pioneers of the communication sites said that there are several reasons behind the loss of confidence in Dar Al Ifta, on top of which is the "politicization of the fatwa" as they describe them.

By God, the statements of this mufti are worse than Macron’s statements. Even if Macron attacked Islam, what Shawqi Allam and saying was more distorted and attacked and considered incitement against Muslims inside Egypt and against Islam and Muslims abroad. Pic.twitter.com/fs6Id1bNqe

Since the military coup in the summer of 2013, the Egyptian Dar Al Iftaa has been busy with its legal mission to clash with political events, in a way that serves the vision of the Sisi regime, especially with regard to attacking the Islamic trend and glorifying the army leaders and military and security technical works, as well as attacking Turkey, specifically its president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan. , Right up to the criticism of the conquest of Constantinople and Sultan Mehmed the Conqueror, but retreated from this last position under the pressure of communication sites.

The Mufti of Sisi vomits as if it is not sufficient for him to harm the Muslims of Egypt, so he decided to try to harm the Muslims of Europe ... You and your president must do what you deserve, Shawky Allam.

It is not a coincidence that Rabbi Shawki Allam, the Mufti of the Execution, declared that half of the children of Muslims in Europe are ISIS and the Islamic centers around the world are brothers in light of the world's sympathy for the Islam of the French hostage, as Al-Sisi did it in Munich before and warned of mosques and their visitors.

Targeting Islamic centers

As for Shawky Allam's statements about Islamic centers in Europe, they come in line with previous statements by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, who attributed what he called the spread of terrorism and extremism to the absence of European leaders' supervision of mosques and the lack of knowledge of the religious discourse directed to Muslims in them.

During the Munich Security Conference, in February 2019, Sisi said that in his meetings with European officials or any other country, he had urged them to pay attention to what was published in places of worship.

Al-Sisi and Alam's talk about Islamic centers in Europe was preceded by a clear Emirati incitement in 2017, when the Emirati Minister of Tolerance Nahyan Mubarak Al Nahyan said that neglecting the supervision of mosques in Europe caused terrorist attacks.

The Arab Organization for Human Rights in Britain rejected the statements of the Emirati minister, describing them as "carrying hidden incitement against Muslims in Europe, and a desperate attempt to transform mosques in Europe into security centers that serve Emirati agendas."

In March 2018, an article in the American magazine "Foreign Policy" concluded that some Arab regimes are the strongest hatred of Islam, and that they are the ones who bestow the phenomenon of "Islamophobia" or "Islamophobia" power in the world.

The report stated that the UAE Foreign Minister Abdullah bin Zayed warned in a public seminar in Riyadh in 2017 that Europeans would grow radical Islam in Europe, and the day will come when we see more extremists and radical terrorists leaving Europe, because European politicians do not want to make a decision. True, not tolerating them on the pretext of human rights, freedom of expression and democracy.

Attacking Macron

Macron said in a speech last week that Islam is experiencing a crisis everywhere in the world today, and France must confront what he described as Islamic isolationism, which seeks to establish a parallel system and deny the French Republic.

Macron's statement coincided with his readiness to introduce a bill against "emotional separation", with the aim of "combating those who employ religion to question the values of the Republic," he said.

Macron's statements about Islam led to widespread anger in the media, as religious and scientific bodies in the Islamic world condemned them.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that Macron is trying to cover up the crisis in France, and that his talk about reshaping Islam is "lack of manners and indicates a lack of knowledge of its borders."

Al-Azhar affirmed that the French President’s statements about Islam are “racist and inflame the feelings of two billion Muslims.” Al-Azhar Sheikh Ahmed al-Tayyeb described Macron’s statements as “irresponsible, and takes the attack on Islam as a cover to achieve flimsy political gains. This non-cultural behavior against religions establishes a culture of hatred and racism and generates Terrorism. "

In turn, the International Union of Muslim Scholars emphasized that those convinced of Islam are increasing every day, "it is not in a crisis, but rather the crisis in ignorance of its principles and truths and hatred for it and its ummah, as it is a crisis of understanding and a crisis of morals."
