China's Civil Aviation Administration has suspended China Eastern Airlines' flights to Incheon-Shanghai for one week for violating the COVID-19 quarantine regulations.

According to Pengpai, China's Civil Aviation Administration has suspended China Eastern Airlines' flights to Incheon-Shanghai, where eight of the passengers were confirmed with Corona 19, for a week.

The Civil Aviation Bureau announced the grounds for disciplinary action that eight of the passengers of China Eastern Airlines' MU5042 flight from Incheon to Shanghai, operated on the 25th of last month, were tested positive for Corona 19.

Accordingly, China Eastern Airlines must stop operating the Incheon-Shanghai route on the 12th and resume operations on the 19th.

China Eastern Airlines has also stopped operating the Incheon-Wuxi route, which was additionally received through the Incheon-Shanghai route, due to this disciplinary action.

Since the end of March, the Civil Aviation Bureau has been restricting the number of flights per airline to only once a week on one route to prevent the reverse inflow of Corona 19 abroad.

Instead, the Civil Aviation Administration made it possible to increase the number of flights to twice a week if all passengers on flights to and from China test negative for Corona 19 for three consecutive weeks.
