A moment of confusion last Friday at the Musée d'Aquitaine tram stop in the city center of Bordeaux.

In the early afternoon, a 21-year-old man created panic by showing off a handgun.

Local residents filmed the scene which spread like wildfire on social networks.

In reality, it was a dummy weapon, an airsoft gun.

That is to say ball.

Its owner was arrested on the spot without difficulty.

The police found other weapons of this type in his backpack and at home.

Placed in custody for several hours, this resident of Cenon said he did not understand what he was accused of before being released.

He will ultimately not be prosecuted.
