The heavy rainfall of the night has created problems.
Several alarms about flooded basements, watercourses and dams have reached the rescue service.
It is, among other things, Sandbackadammen that has flooded over, where the water flows down towards an apartment building and towards a road.
- We have big problems in the Umeå urban area.
It is flooding in several places, the biggest problem right now is on Rödäng where Tvärån is flooding, says Adam Dahlberg, internal commander at the rescue service.
They will take an excavator there to dig up a drum.
- They think it runs a little bad there and that may be one of the reasons, but the biggest is probably the heavy rainfall, says Adam Dahlberg.
The rescue service has worked almost all night and has the help of other municipal resources to try to get rid of the water.
- We will probably work all weekend with this, says Dahlberg.
