Azerbaijan and Armenia agreed on Saturday on a ceasefire starting at noon in the separatist region of Nagorno-Karabakh, in the grip of the fighting, announced the Russian diplomacy after negotiations in Moscow between the leaders of the Armenian and Azerbaijani diplomacy.

The diplomatic efforts of the previous days have borne fruit.

A cease-fire has been agreed between the two belligerents "for humanitarian purposes".

Negotiations to find a solution to the conflict will even be held between Azerbaijan and Armenia.

These advances take place thanks to the meeting

organized by the Kremlin

Sergei Lavrov, the Russian Minister of Foreign Affairs had invited his counterparts to talks.

After two weeks of conflict, this ceasefire has revived hope for peace in the Nagorno-Karabakh region.
