“During the talks, the parties reaffirmed their adherence to the ceasefire agreements in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone, reached following the consultations of the foreign ministers of the three countries on October 9 in Moscow, stressed the need for strict observance“ on the ground, ”the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

Earlier, the official representative of the Armenian Defense Ministry Artsrun Hovhannisyan stated that the ceasefire regime in Karabakh is generally observed. 

The Azerbaijani presidential administration also confirmed the fact that the fire had ceased.

On October 10, at 12:00 (11:00 Moscow time) local time, a ceasefire came into force in Nagorno-Karabakh.

The Armenian and Azerbaijani sides agreed on this earlier following a meeting in Moscow.

The parties announced a ceasefire "for humanitarian purposes for the exchange of prisoners of war and other detained persons and bodies of the dead."
