Local media announced that the Swedish authorities granted citizenship three days ago to the Danish extremist Rasmus Baloudan, who had previously caused the burning of the Koran in Sweden.

According to the official Swedish news agency, Baludan, who leads the far-right Danish party, "Stram Cyrus" - said after the decision to grant him Swedish citizenship - that he hopes to be able to carry out many activities in Sweden.

This extremist is known to have been behind the burning of a copy of the Qur’an in the Swedish city of Malmo at the end of last August, which led to violent unrest in the city.

Before the Koran was burned, Swedish police stopped him at the border, and prevented him from entering the country for two years.

Days after the decision to prevent him from entering Sweden, Paludan announced on social media that he had applied for Swedish citizenship through its embassy in Copenhagen, noting that he had the right to obtain citizenship because his father was of Swedish origin.

The Danish extremist is known for his hostility to Islam, and he had previously called for Denmark to be free of Muslims before the Danish elections in 2019, but he failed to reach Parliament.
