Two Swiss companies intend to explore the possibility of pilots working as train drivers after the Corona crisis caused the collapse of air traffic in the world, according to what the two companies announced on Friday.

Both the Swiss pilots' association, "Aerobers" and the Swiss Confederation of Train Drivers, "VSLF," said they were doing positive work together.

The Swiss Air company, owned by Lufthansa, offered last September the possibility of cooperation with the Swiss train company "SBB".

The Swiss Train Drivers Association said it saw no problems hiring pilots as train drivers, its president, Hubert Geiger, said in a statement.

A spokesperson for the Aerobars Union said the two jobs had similar requirements such as quick wit, alertness, flexibility and endurance.
