UAE sends a second medical aid plane to Jordan

The UAE has provided more than 1,485 tons of aid to more than 118 countries.

Yesterday, the UAE sent a second aid plane, containing 15 tons of medical supplies and testing equipment, to Jordan, to support the efforts of 15,000 health care workers and enhance their capabilities in curbing the spread of "Covid-19".

The country's ambassador to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Ahmed Ali Muhammad Al-Balushi, said: “The dispatch of the second plane of urgent medical supplies comes as an affirmation of the important role that the UAE plays in supporting national efforts in brotherly Arab countries, as well as within the framework of strengthening the bilateral relations between the two countries, which are based on On brotherhood, common interests and a single destiny ».

The ambassador pointed out that this shipment is the second that the UAE has sent to Jordan, as it had previously sent a plane containing 12.4 tons of medical supplies and supplies last June, which contributed to providing support for workers in the medical sector, expressing his hope that the new shipment will contribute to Provide more protection for health-care workers, especially on the front lines of the pandemic.

It is worth noting that the UAE has, to date, provided more than 1,485 tons of aid to more than 118 countries, benefiting about 1.5 million medical workers.
