Sweden wants the EU to impose sanctions on Russia

The initiative for the EU to impose sanctions on Russia originally comes from Germany and France.

Now Sweden is also joining that demand.

Today, the Riksdag's EU Committee on Foreign Affairs Ann Linde (S) gave full support in the work of pushing for the issue.

- Sanctions are a very sharp instrument and that means that relations are affected in a negative direction.

We have the entire EU's Russia relationship on the agenda, it is the first time since 2018 that we have a formal discussion about this, says Linde in SVT's Aktuellt.
