A man, presenting himself as one of the attackers of the two police officers seriously injured by gunshot wounds Wednesday evening in Herblay, in the Val d'Oise, gave himself up this Friday morning, learned

from the Pontoise prosecutor's office, confirming a information from BFM.

He was taken into police custody around 10:30 am as part of this investigation for “attempted murder of a person holding public authority in an organized gang”.

Two other suspects are still actively sought.

Wednesday evening, two officials of the PJ of Cergy were violently assaulted while carrying out a surveillance mission, in civilian clothes, in an industrial area of ​​Herblay.

According to the first elements of the investigation, they were severely beaten after they declined their identity and had their service weapons stolen in the struggle.

Their attackers used it against them, shooting four times against a young 30-year-old peacekeeper, still between life and death, and twice against his teammate, a police major.
