Five lambs were killed, six lambs were injured and two are missing after the latest attack and the county administrative board estimates that the risk is considered high for the attacks to continue.

- The fact that the most recent attack took place in the same area and in relative proximity to the previous attacks, makes us suspect that it may be one of the individuals who previously attacked sheep who attacked sheep again.

That is why we are now resuming the protection hunt that ended in August, says Linda Andersson, game manager at the County Administrative Board in Jönköping County in a press release.

On nine occasions during the summer, sheep attacked, killed and injured in Gnosjö, Gislaveds, Vaggeryds and Sävsjö municipalities in Jönköping County.

Further attacks also occurred in Tranemo municipality in Västra Götaland county, not far from some of the attacks in Jönköping county.

The protection hunt runs until 26 October 2020.
