Thai Airways has decided to react while part of its planes remain grounded, for lack of passengers to board.

The Thai national company thus offers pilot courses during which candidates take control of an A380.

They take place at the company's facilities in Bangkok, reports the

.

It costs aspiring pilots $ 640 (or 540 euros) for four days of training.

The participants take place in a simulator faithfully reproducing the cockpit of the giant Airbus.

The supervisors of these intensive courses are recruited from the company's crews who are currently on technical unemployment.

After a certain time, the trainees can take control of the very large European carrier, carry out take-offs and landings, in complete safety.

These internships are not the only idea of the company to limit losses in these times of health and economic crisis.

In September, she opened a restaurant where customers sit in airplane seats.

Located in Bangkok, the “Royal Orchid Dining Experience” took place in the premises of the company's staff canteen.

Like the commercial standards in force in air transport, various services are offered according to the class of “passengers”: First, Business or Economy.

A total of 800 covers are served each day, according to Thai Airways.

The airline will have to find other ideas to replenish its coffers.

Last May, its debt reached 9.6 billion dollars (or 8.14 billion euros).
