According to the press service of the State Duma, Piskarev held talks with the head of the German-Russian parliamentary group of the Bundestag, Robbie Schlund, during which the prospects for the development of relations between the two countries after the incident with Navalny were discussed.

"The head of the State Duma commission expressed his conviction about the inadmissibility of using provocations as a pretext for imposing sanctions against Russia and undermining the good-neighborliness and cooperation relations that have developed between our countries over the past decades," the State Duma said.

Earlier, Viktor Vodolatsky, first deputy head of the State Duma committee for CIS affairs, Eurasian integration and relations with compatriots, commented in an interview with RT on the plans of Germany, France, Great Britain and the Netherlands to impose sanctions on Russia due to the situation with Navalny.
