The Sharjah Police General Command stated that 700 new surveillance cameras were added in various areas of Sharjah, with the aim of monitoring violations and enhancing the level of safety.

She indicated during the "Police" program, which she broadcasts through its various channels, that the eyes of security are spread in all areas of Sharjah, and all residents feel them, but they do not see them, through the percentage of feeling of safety that exceeded 98% during the results of last year.

She explained that the operation room is keen to provide the best services to ensure a speedy response to the reports, and to enhance the security and safety of the emirate, pointing out that the operation room was finally equipped with a new surveillance camera system, the number of which is 700 cameras distributed throughout the emirate.

The General Command indicated that the new cameras, including fixed and mobile, and cameras for monitoring vehicle number plates, pointing out that these cameras were distributed after prior meetings with the concerned departments, as they were chosen for criminal and traffic work in places that need permanent monitoring according to the needs of each region, and previous information. She emphasized that all the cadres working inside the room and the employees are trained to respond quickly in dealing with the report professionally.

The Sharjah Police General Command called on community members to contribute to enhancing security and speed of response to emergency situations, by not calling 999 except in the case of urgent and necessary communications, and calling 901 to ask general inquiries and non-emergency reports, so that the line is not occupied and delayed in Responding to the necessary reports in the emirate.
