A poll conducted by the conservative Rasmussen Foundation showed Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden ahead of Republican candidate Donald Trump, by 12 points at the national level.

Earlier, a CNN poll showed that the Democratic candidate had advanced with 57% of the vote, compared to 41% for Trump.

Biden appeared confident of winning the elections, as he appeared in a video telling a group of his supporters as they dance, "I want to see you dancing when you are 4 years older," indicating that he will run for a second presidential campaign after serving 4 years as president in the White House.

For his part, Trump described his Democratic opponent as "an imbecile," and wrote in a tweet on Twitter, "He's been a moron for years, and everyone knows that."

He added, "The media find themselves forced to deal with him and try to protect him," adding, "Have you noticed that all the negative matters and his very low IQ are no longer remembered?

Trump pledged to return to his election campaign quickly, and to participate in the second presidential debate against Biden in Miami on October 15, despite his infection with the Corona virus.
