As in other large cities of France, the town hall of Nantes has decided to extend certain measures decided upon at the time of deconfinement.

And in particular the pedestrianization of certain streets, which aimed to support the recovery of Nantes cafes and restaurants.

On Wednesday, the city announced that pedestrianization will be extended until January 31, 2021, "at the request of traders".

About fifteen streets are concerned, such as rue Léon-Blum, place Graslin or rue du Maréchal Joffre (in the evening only).

Among them are also those which have been fitted out as part of the “bicycle-pedestrian” plan.

Large terraces until the end of November

"This charter of measures also proposed a temporary extension of the terraces in order to allow social distancing between the tables", indicates the town hall.

The extension of the permanent and summer terraces will remain in effect until the end of November.
