It was in May that a 16-year-old boy was attacked by about ten people at the English school in Karlstad.

The now convicted 16-year-old must have been driving and the plaintiff received both kicks and blows.

There were both film clips and still images from the assault and they played an important role in the state of evidence, states Värmland District Court in its judgment.

"You can see in the film that XX holds NN while other people hit or kick him against the head and body, even after he ends up on the ground, and that XX kicks him when he is in such a situation", it is possible to read i domen.

Attacked again

The convicted 16-year-old has admitted that he wrestled the plaintiff down on the ground to stop an attack on himself but denies that he used other violence.

The district court's letter states that one explanation for what happened is that the attacked 16-year-old has sent a greeting in the form of an emoji to a familiar girl, which has aroused the dissatisfaction of a relative close to her.

Emoji greeting

The district court writes: “According to what has been reported, the emoji greeting has had a completely innocent and friendly-minded purpose.

Being abused for something like that is disgusting.

This should not happen.

The miserable motive for the abuse is of course not intended to soften the assessment of the seriousness of what has happened ".

The 16-year-old who was subjected to the aggravated assault was recently attacked again by several people, this time at Mariebergsskolan in Karlstad.

There is still a police investigation into aggravated assault and assault in court.
