"ISIS" kills an Iraqi policewoman in Mosul

An Iraqi security source in Nineveh governorate said today, Thursday, that a woman who was working as a policeman was killed in a prison in the governorate and her daughter was kidnapped west of Mosul (400 km north of Baghdad).

Capt. Uday Samir, from the Nineveh Police, said that "ISIS members stormed today the house of a woman in Tal Afar district (70 km west of Mosul) and killed her and kidnapped her 15-year-old daughter before they fled to an unknown destination.

He explained that the victim was working as a policewoman in Badoush Regional Prison (25 km northwest of Mosul).

Many areas of Nineveh governorate are still witnessing activity by ISIS elements who carry out kidnappings, killings and bombings against Iraqi forces and civilians, despite the Iraqi government’s announcement more than two years ago to eliminate ISIS militarily.
