It is in the laundry room of Villepinte prison that Amar Ramdani befriends Amedy Coulibaly.
"
We told each other about our childhoods, our adolescence our human lives (...) he was friendly, helpful, intelligent ... his actions are cowardly things, unlike the person I knew
», He says.
Amar Ramdani assures him, if Coulibaly was “pious”, he showed no sign of radicalism: “
When I saw him, he was rather dressed in Dolce Gabana, the guy (…) even today I cannot understand
», He emphasizes.
The court questioned him about his movements in the North, the place of origin of the weapons, with Said Maklouf.
"
Why did you maintain for a long time that it was to accompany him to see prostitutes and to have hidden your meetings with Mohamed Fares, linked to two weapons by the investigators?"
"
Because I am not a scale ... Now that they have spoken, I can tell, I accompanied Said to Fares for a stupid case
," he explains.
"
Why did you destroy your phone after the hyper-hide killing, if you had nothing to reproach yourself with, that created suspicion
", insists the president.
“
You are absolutely right, admits the accused, I had a stupid reflex, of fear, of thug… I still regret it, you would have seen that there was nothing.
"
With each element advanced, Amar Ramdani, argues carefully.
Salt and pepper hair, keen eyes, he does not mind verbal jousting, sometimes impertinent, quite sure of his charm.
"
With the investigating judge, we had an atypical relationship
," he slips into a masked smile.
He evokes his affair with a gendarme who is now struck off, to whom he asks after the attacks if he must report to the police.
"
She asked me 'did
you help him logistically?'
Not
.
"financially?"
No.
She told me
"so it's not worth it" ".
“
I don't blame him, others gave me the same advice, points out the accused, but without that I would perhaps have reported myself to the police station and I would probably not be there.
